A lot of us do this. We criticize and complain to others in our lives, hoping that it will cause them to correct their behaviour. But I want you to really think about this, how many times has it actually happened that someone really took your criticism to heart. Most of the times, people just don’t respond to harsh criticism. Infact, not only do they continue to behave the same way, they also start to think that you’re a bad person.

In a nutshell, the 3 fundamental techniques in handling people are:
1. Don’t criticize, condemn or complain
2. Give honest and sincere appreciation
3. Arouse in the other person an eager want
