C’mon over to www.marieforleo.com/2013/05/personal-growth/ where the main discussion happens after the episode!
Personal growth is exciting, but it can be tricky sharing what we’ve learned with others. It can upset others when self-help is pushed on them because it can come across as implying that they’re screwed up and need to be fixed.
In this video you’ll learn the best ways to share your personal growth and spiritual growth with others without coming across as preachy or arrogant.
1. Don’t Talk About It, Be About It. This means be an example of the personal growth that you’re learning, rather than preach about it. Embody the ideas and principles to become a role model. Then people will be curious about your personal growth and will want to know what you’re up to. Then you can share it with them.
2. Find Your Personal Development Posse. Find like-minded people who love talking about personal development and spiritual stuff as much as you do. Once you find the people who really want to talk about it, you’ll be less compelled to share it with people who don’t.
Now I want to hear from you over in the comments at marieforleo.com. Have you ever tried to “show people the light” with personal development and felt resistance? What did you do?
